What is prohibited
- Phishing and impersonation: pages imitating banks, brands, services or people to obtain credentials, payments or data.
- Malware: distributing or linking to malicious software, exploits, in-browser crypto miners or deceptive downloads.
- Scams and fraud: investment schemes, fake giveaways, sale of non-existent goods, forged documents.
- Child sexual abuse material: zero tolerance; we report it to NCMEC and the relevant authorities and preserve evidence as the law requires.
- Illegal content: incitement to violence, terrorism, trafficking in illegal goods or services, non-consensual intimate imagery, doxxing.
- Harassment and hate: threats, targeted harassment or content attacking people based on protected characteristics.
- Rights infringement: content infringing copyright or trademarks (see Copyright).
- Spam and SEO abuse: mass pages to manipulate search engines, deceptive redirects, link farms.
- Infrastructure abuse: using Outbox as a CDN for unrelated files, evading quotas, mass account creation, attacking or probing systems (except as allowed in Security).
- Third parties' personal data published without a legal basis, especially sensitive data.
How to report
Use the form at Support → Report content or the Report link shown on every published page. You can also write to hello@out-box.dev. Phishing and malware reports are reviewed first.
What we do
- Take the page down (it then responds with HTTP 451 and a notice).
- Suspend the account, temporarily or permanently, in serious or repeated cases.
- Preserve evidence and notify authorities when the law requires it.
If you believe we removed your content by mistake, write to hello@out-box.dev explaining why. Where possible, a different person from the one who made the decision reviews the appeal.
