Terms of Service
The rules for using Outbox: your account, your content, paid plans, cancellation and our responsibilities.
Last updated:
Acceptance
These terms are an agreement between you and Jonathan Vicente Gaitan Leiva ("Outbox") for using out-box.dev, its API, CLI, MCP server and apps. By creating an account or using the service you accept them, together with the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you use Outbox on behalf of an organization, you represent that you can bind it.
Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old, and the minimum age to consent to data processing in your country if higher (up to 16 in some EU countries). To buy a paid plan you must be an adult or have permission from a parent or guardian.
Your account
- Keep your password and API keys safe. You are responsible for what is done with them, including by AI agents you gave access to.
- Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
- A username may be reassigned or withdrawn if it infringes trademarks, impersonates someone or is inactive under these terms.
Your content
What you publish remains yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process and display it solely to provide the service according to the visibility you choose (private, unlisted or public), including previews and social cards. The license ends when you delete the content, except for technical copies erased within the period in the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights to what you publish and that it does not break the law or the Acceptable Use Policy. Public pages may appear in the gallery and in search engines.
Acceptable use and moderation
We prohibit phishing, malware, scams, spam, illegal content and everything else listed in the Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content and limit or suspend accounts that violate it, without notice in serious cases. You can appeal by writing to hello@out-box.dev. To report content use Support.
Copyright (DMCA)
We respond to copyright infringement notices under the U.S. DMCA and equivalent laws, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. The procedure and our designated agent are in the Copyright Policy.
Paid plans, automatic renewal and cancellation
Paid plans are sold by Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record: it charges you, issues the receipt, and calculates and remits applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax). Current prices are on Pricing.
- Automatic renewal: monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, charged to the same payment method, until you cancel.
- Cancelling is as easy as signing up: in Settings → Plan, Manage subscription, online, no need to talk to anyone. You keep the plan until the end of the paid period, then move to the free plan without losing your content (free plan limits apply).
- Price changes: we email you at least 30 days in advance and you can cancel before they apply.
- Failed payments: Lemon Squeezy retries; if it is not resolved, the account returns to the free plan.
- Refunds: under the Refund Policy.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Outbox available, but the service is provided as is and as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Live status is at Status. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service we will give you at least 60 days' notice to export your data.
API, agents and limits
You may use the API and connect AI agents within your plan's limits. Do not try to evade quotas, rate limits or security measures. Anything an agent publishes with your key counts as published by you.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. When an account is closed, the deletion process in the Privacy Policy applies.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Outbox is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss, and its total liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 50 on the free plan). Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under your local law.
You will indemnify us against third-party claims caused by your content or by using the service in violation of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, and disputes are submitted to the ordinary courts of the Judicial District of San Martín, Province of Buenos Aires, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes we will give you at least 30 days' notice. Continuing to use Outbox after that date means you accept them; if you disagree you can delete your account.
